'The success story of turning into a pitcher' is looking higher this year, aiming for 'the first time in Hanwha.'

Hanwha Eagles closer Joo Hyun-sang is writing the success story of turning into a pitcher. This year, he is playing his first spring camp as a closing pitcher.

Joo Hyun-sang, whom I recently met at Ballpark in Melbourne, Australia, said, "We are preparing exactly as we did last year. We do it according to our schedule. I don't do anything differently, but we are pitching according to our schedule."온라인바카라

He improved his condition smoothly, including boop pen pitching and live pitching. He ended the camp by playing through the match against Cheongbaek (one inning) on Wednesday.

"It's been a long time since I met a batter, but my ball control was better than I thought, and I think my breaking ball went in better than I thought. It was better than I thought," Joo said of his live pitching.

During the off-season, Ryu had individual training sessions in Okinawa, Japan with Ryu Hyun-jin and Kim Bum-soo. "Since Ryu Hyun-jin is a starting pitcher, he also weights at the right time. So I am not there where I spent time together, but I learned a lot from watching and working out together at the same time as I did with him. In that sense, I think it was a good camp."

Ryu was almost like a trainer. He said he learned a lot of know-how about reinforcement workouts. "HYUNJIN did more reinforcement workouts than any other players in our team because he underwent a lot of major surgery. That's why I told the players a lot," Joo said. "I called the players one by one and gave them feedback right away. I think I followed him hard."

Joo Hyun-sang played in 65 games, 71 ⅓ innings, 8 wins, 4 losses, 23 saves and 2 holds, with an ERA of 2.65. He started the season as a setup man. However, due to circumstances, he was promoted to the closing team in April. He suddenly got promoted, but did not miss the opportunity he had to visit. He managed to secure the back door with his heavy fastball and blade control. After making his first save in the game against Doosan on April 11, he continued his strides.

As a result, he achieved the most saves in a single season as a right-hander of the Hanwha Eagles. He has set a higher goal this year.

Joo Hyun-sang said, "I really want to make 30 saves. Once I make 30 saves, my team can be in a higher position unconditionally. Another is that I have never made 30 saves as a right-handed pitcher in my team. I made the most saves as a right-handed pitcher last year, but if I make 30 saves, my name will continue to be mentioned even years later. That's why I want to achieve this."

As he said, no left-handed pitcher has made 30 saves. All of them were left-handed pitchers. Koo Dae-sung had 37 saves in 2006, Brad Thomas 31 saves in 2008, and Jung Woo-ram 35 saves in 2018.

That is why I am supplementing some areas as I prepare for this season. "I want to reduce the number of balls that are crowded. If the ball is crowded, you will get hit a lot of long balls. Another goal is to reduce the number of balls that are crowded more than other parts," he said.

The starting lineup of Hanwha Eagles has strengthened this year. With Eom Sang-baek as a free agent, up to the fourth starting lineup has been established. As a result, chances are high that there will be more save situations than last year.

Joo Hyun-sang also nodded, "I also thought about that a lot. I'm doing image training to keep the team's victory as much as possible. If I throw it neatly and win, the team's atmosphere will be revived, so I'm going to pay more attention."
